Hip hip (totally hip and cool, too) hooray.
This is really fab. This is definitely a necessary blog. (I really don’t know what a blog does… but I think that it is great that you are getting this info out there).
Some “fest” ideas… Seattle is fulllllllll of fest’s- I lived there for a year and was astounded by how many they have- and they are totally popular no matter what the weather (they have to be, no body would get out at all if they waited for it to stop raining!). Bumbershoot- music fest around labor day. Artesia- little India has a festival (I think around halloween- festival of lights?). San Diego- Balboa Park- Christmas time- i think it’s called Christmas on the Prado. Palm Springs has Modernism week (just passed).
I’m always on the lookout for a good fest, but no one to fest with…I’ll pass on info as i catch it.

Hey girls!! It was great meeting both of you at Coachella even though I never actually made it to Coachella. Good luck with the blog and remember that you both have a place to stay this summer at the Six-Man Touney in Manhattan Beach. FEST ON!!!

What is 6-man?? Only the greatest beach vball tourney in the world!! Imagine 120 teams playing in costumes with 50 thousand people drining copious amounts of alcohol for three days. Love vball or not, it is the best weekend in the South Bay of the entire year. Bad news, it is impossible to find a hotel and/or parking that weekend. Good news, you girls have a guest room waiting for you when you get here:)
PS – I went to the Grilled Cheese Invitational last year. Get there early or don’t go. They are packed by 1 pm and run out of cheese by 2 pm. See u soon!!

What??? How did I not know you two had this blog? It’s terrific and now I’m your number one fan. I will spread the word high up into the mountains. God bless Arabia.

Yeah guuuuuurl, thanks for the props. It means a lot coming from the author of vodkaandgroundbeef, formerly of the leaky brain. What happened to that venture? I imagine you got shut down for child pornography or something like that. Oh well, all is in the past. Come to San Diego to visit.

Shayna, I believe you were a student in my LJ class at UCI. I am trying to look up former students to see what they are doing in the world — to offer some different pictures of life after graduation (and hopefully, writing after graduation) to my current students. Care to fill me in on what you’re up to professionally? thanks, Amy
